Hull City finished this season in 21st place, level on points with Luton Town, who were relegated to the third division.

The Championship club, after narrowly escaping relegation, parted ways with manager Rubén Sellés.

Claims from the UK have stated Hull City are in talks with Kayserispor manager Sergej Jakirović. This has reached the Turkish press and specifically DHA, who provide their own updates on this case.

DHA’s title says the 48-year-old has agreed in principle to join Hull City. This is backed up within the report, where the details of the agreement are also explained.

The Turkish news agency reports Jakirović will receive a salary of £2m per year with the English club. They haven’t mentioned the length of the contract that Hull City will offer him.

The Süper Lig club will play their last tie of this season against Samsunspor on Sunday. DHA state Jakirović ‘will say goodbye’ to Kayserispor this weekend before moving to Hull City.

Kayserispor have 45 points from 35 games so far this season and are currently 12th in the table.
