Östersund manager Ian Burchnall has confirmed other clubs have been watching his players, but no bids have come in for Hosam Aiesh.
The 24 year old has in the past week has been linked with a move to Leeds United after reports Marcelo Bielsa recently travelled to Sweden to get a lowdown on the attacker.
Fotboll Transfers have reported on comments Burchnall made to Op.se when asked about scouts from other clubs being being sent to watch OFK: “I know there were people who watched the match against Djurgården as well. I do not know which clubs, but they checked on our players.”
He added when quizzed about bids for Aiesh: “There is nothing concrete.”
Last week we covered reports from Sweden that Bielsa along with a Leeds United scout watched OFK’s game against GIF Sundsvall with the intention to watch Aiesh and also his teammate Dino Islamovic. Again, Fotboll Transfers back up Leeds United’s interest in the right winger.
Aiesh has impressed for the Swedish side in the past 12 months and his performances earned him his first cap with Sweden earlier this year.
Leeds United will expect to face competition for the player with fellow Championship sides Reading and Nottingham Forest said to be interested.
