Sometimes we may forget that Tiemoué Bakayoko is still a Chelsea player, since he’s been involved in so many loans in the past few years, especially in Italy, but the fact is that beyond his current spell at Milan, which runs until 2023, he still has a contract with the Blues until 2024.
Now it turns out that despite being with the Rossoneri, it seems he could still change clubs this summer, as Valencia are now said to be interested in his signing.
Italian outlet Calciomercato today writes that the La Liga side manager Gennato Gattuso is now ‘pushing’ to get Bakayoko from Chelsea, as he’d like the arrival of some players he already knows.
A deal, however, is said to be ‘very complicated’, because despite the many loans he’s been involved in, it’s now said Valencia would need to pay the Blues a fee for the signing.
That’s why the interest is ‘cooling down’.
Milan don’t sound like a problem, since they haven’t been making much use of the player, and they wouldn’t mind his two-year loan being cut short.
The issue is the agreement with Chelsea, even though it isn’t said how much the Stamford Bridge side demand for the move.
