Austrian coach Oliver Glasner will be replacing Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace and has already picked part of his coaching team.
That’s according to Krone and Sky Austria, who say the manager is ‘about to join’ Crystal Palace, with Hodgson on the verge of being sacked.
Krone reports that Glasner has officially agreed a deal to join Palace, with a deal between the two sides ‘fixed’.
He will be joining Crystal Palace in the near future and has already chosen one member of his back-room team in Emanuel Pogatetz, who will be acting as his assistant manager.
Sky back this up, stating that Glasner is ‘about to join’ Crystal Palace and according to their information, a deal has been done for Pogatetz as well.
He had been manager of Young Violets Austria Wien in the Regional League East, although he only joined them on January 5th. A replacement for him has already been secured, though, and he will be heading to Crystal Palace with Glasner.
Pogatetz has experience of the Premier League, having played at Middlesbrough for five years and then on loan at West Ham in 2013.
It appears Glasner wants to tap into that for his first job in England and a plan is now in place for the pair to arrive at Selhurst Park.
