Bruno Lage was dismissed as Wolves manager at the weekend, and the club will now look for someone to navigate them away from a relegation battle.
Losing 2-0 to West Ham United away may not seem such a disastrous result on paper, but it was the final straw for those in charge at the club and now there’s endless names being linked with the vacancy.
Naturally, multiple Portuguese options are being pushed forward, and Record take a look at that in their Monday newspaper. They say Carlos Carvalhal, Vítor Pereira, Spaniard Javi Gracia and Argentine Jorge Sampaoli are options.
When it comes to Carlos Carvalhal, Record report there’s been rumours close to his current club, Al Wahda, that he’s left… although they haven’t been able to substantiate those. The English media have linked the manager with Hull City, however, O Jogo don’t think that will happen.
The newspaper states Hull City is a project that ‘will not please’ Carvalhal, whilst he ‘would not turn his nose’ up at Wolves.
