Celtic’s Olivier Ntcham is one of many youngsters who couldn’t manage to find a way into Manchester City’s first team after coming up through their academy.

After spending three years with the English club’s youth system, the midfielder was sent out on loan for two seasons to Genoa in 2015.

The Frenchman left the Etihad for Celtic in 2017 and has been a regular inclusion in the Hoops’ starting XI, whenever he’s been fit and eligible for selection.

During his time at City’s academy, the 24-year-old trained under the orders of Patrick Vieira, who is currently managing OGC Nice.

According to Le10 Sport, the former Arsenal star ‘does not lose sight’ of the Celtic player as he knows about his compatriot from his time at the English club.

The Ligue 1 side are looking to strengthen their midfield in the upcoming window and are looking at various players, including Ntcham.

Ntcham signed a new contract at Celtic Park in November 2018 and his current deal with the Scottish Premiership side lasts until 2022.

Le10 only mentions Vieira has set his sights on the Celtic player and there’s nothing to indicate whether or not Ntcham will reunite with his former coach.
