Earlier this month, we covered claims from Italy that Napoli are looking at Nottingham Forest’s Callum Hudson-Odoi. It was also stated €20m would be enough to take him away from the Premier League club.

The Serie A winners’ interest in the winger is further backed up by Sportialia.

Michele Criscitiello provides a short update on why Napoli are keen on the Nottingham Forest player.

He explains Antonio Conte has made an ‘explicit request’ to the Italian champions to sign the 24-year-old this summer.

Hudson-Odoi left Chelsea for Nottingham Forest in 2023 and managed 13 goals and six assists from 70 games. He played under Conte’s orders when the pair were at the west London club.

Napoli have already completed the signings of Kevin De Bruyne [on a free transfer] and Luca Marianucci from Empoli.

Sportitalia report Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to further strengthen the squad to please the manager. With Conte asking for the England international, De Laurentiis seems to be ready to try and sign him from Nottingham Forest.

Hudson-Odoi’s contract expires in 2026, and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side could be open to selling him this summer.
