It’s no secret Chelsea defender Thiago Silva would like to become a manager once he retires, and with the player today turning 38, it’s fair to talk about this new job he’s soon having in football.
Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte today features a story about the player, who’s about to get a documentary on his career, and also commented on this wish of his to eventually become a coach.
The story claims that Silva is one of the national team players who the staff speaks the most to during trainings and meetings.
It’s also said the Chelsea player already completed a course at CBF and is constant contacts with friends to exchange information.
So in the press conference this week, Brazil manager Tite had a word about the defender’s dream of being a manager, and claimed he’ll soon be ready for it.
“He will be a good coach. And he’s bad for football,” said Tite about the Chelsea player (via Globo Esporte).
“Do you know why he’s bad for football? Because he makes things so easy and they’re hard as hell. He manages to make the clearest, most lucid, transparent decisions with impressive technical performance.”
Thiago Silva is among the top ten players with most appearances for the national team, and since he’s expected to be a starter in the World Cup, he should surpass Pelé, who’s in the sixth position with 113 games.
