Fiorentina manager Paulo Sousa has explained in his Europa League press conference that Carlos Sanchez is settling in at the club. The Colombian international is currently on loan with Fiorentina from Aston Villa.
TMW have reported on comments Sousa made on the Aston Villa loanee in the lead up to tomorrows clash with PAOK Thessaloniki. The Portuguese manager revealed Sanchez is now integrating well into the club, and is understanding how the Serie A side play. Sousa said signing the midfielder has been beneficial, but still insisted he will continue to rotate his team depending on the game.
“I do rotations with the idea to win games for Fiorentina. Carlos is now working hard to integrate even better in our concepts and principles of the game. He’s always very helpful. I know already who will play tomorrow, but still do not want say it,” said the Viola coach on the Colombian
Fiorentina have the option to purchase Sanchez from Aston Villa permanently, but if that doesn’t happen he’s got a contract with the Championship until June 2018. However, given Sanchez’s participation in the team so far this season, despite Sousa rotating, a move is looking likely in the summer.
