Following a couple of weeks of non-stop articles surrounding the future of Moise Kean, the Italian media moved onto other things, but they didn’t entirely forget about his situation at Everton either.
That’s because Bologna, who were briefly mentioned during Roma’s dominance of the transfer story, and their manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, want a new forward.
Their top target remains free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but they know convincing the former Sweden international will be difficult, and so there’s also a focus elsewhere.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mihajlovic has two names in mind if he can’t get the former Manchester United striker, and they are Everton’s Moise Kean and Milan’s Krzysztof Piątek.
For the Toffees’ youngster, the main attraction, other than his previous record in Italy, is his ability to play down the wings if needed, while the Poland international could find himself struggling for game time if Ibrahimovic chooses Milan over other destinations.
Regarding Kean, things could change very quickly following the sacking of Marco Silva, and while whoever replaces the Portuguese might be instructed to try and get the best out of Everton’s big summer investment, there’s no guarantee it will actually work.
