Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano has dismissed talk of Dusan Vlahovic joining Tottenham as not ‘credible’ at this moment in time.
Vlahovic is one of the hottest properties in European football, with a series of impressive performances and an ever-increasing goal tally earning him rave reviews and admirers around Europe.
Tottenham are one of those who have been continually linked for the last few months as they continue their search for an alternative to Harry Kane.
Their interest has seemingly ramped up since the arrival of Antonio Conte this week, with it believed the Italian coach has Vlahovic on his list of players he wants to bring to the club.
That could be as a replacement for Kane should he leave next summer or as a player to wok alongside him in an attempt to convince Kane to stay at the club.
Either way, the rumours about Tottenham being keen are going to increase in the coming months, with January looking likely to be a busy one for the club.
Vlahovic’s manager, Italiano, is having none of the rumours, though and believes they lack any credibility at this point.
“I don’t read the papers,” Tuttomercatoweb report him saying.
“I’ve seen Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Juve, AC Milan… everything and more.
“Right now, it’s just rumours and situations that I don’t find credible. The boy is focused, and you’ve seen how much he wants to do well.”
