Pierluigi Gollini’s time at Tottenham Hotspur is set to come to an end if reports coming out of Italy are to be believed.
Last summer, the north London club took the goalkeeper on a season-long loan deal from Atalanta, with an option to buy set at €10m.
The 27-year-old was the backup for Hugo Lloris at Tottenham Hotspur, featuring 10 times in all competitions during the recently concluded season.
Tuttosport explain the Italy international’s future could be away from Spurs as ‘doors are open for a new destination’.
His agent, Giuseppe Riso, also manages Torino manager Ivan Jurić. The two met with the Serie A side’s chief, Urbano Cairo, and other leaders of the club on Monday. During the summit, Gollini’s name was put on the table.
Vanja Milinković-Savić failed to convince towards the end of the season at the Turin club, while Etrit Berisha has a contract expiring on June 30th.
This has seen Torino look for a new keeper and have their sights on Gollini, who will not be redeemed by Antonio Conte’s side.
Apart from Torino, even Napoli have asked about the Tottenham man’s situation with his parent club, Atalanta. The Naples club are having issues sorting out Alex Meret’s renewal and he is also a target for Jurić at Torino.
At the moment, it’s clear that Gollini does not have a future at Tottenham Hotspur. However, it is still not certain as to where his long-term future lies.
