According to the Turkish media, Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci will decide the ‘fate ‘of Ricardo Quaresma, following claims this week Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an offer to sign the Portugal international.

We covered reports the Besiktas winger has rejected the chance to sign for Wolves because he wants to remain with the Istanbul club and see his contract out.

However, Aksam today reports his stay with Besiktas could be under threat if he’s not in the plans of their new manager Avci. The player has been linked with a move away from the Super Lig side in recent weeks, but the final decision will be with the Turkish coach.

Aksam again back up Wolves interest in the former Inter Milan attacker but they also claim there is interest from MLS for the 35 year old. There have been reports Wolves have offered the Portuguese veteran the chance to come to the Premier League this summer.

The 35 year old played 34 games for Besiktas last season, scoring 4 goals, and providing 14 assists. Quaresma is contracted to the Black Eagles until June 2020.
