Sivasspor manager Samet Aybaba has spoken to the Turkish media about the latest transfer developments at the club.
Aybaba has confirmed the Turkish club are holding talks with Newcastle United’s Henri Saivet, along with former Manchester City star Robinho.
Aybaba is quoted by Sporx as saying: “They are talking with Robinho, they are talking with Saivet from England, they are talking with a few local players.”
Saivet has played just one Premier League game for Rafael Benitez’s side this season, and made two appearances in the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
The player joined Newcastle United from Bordeaux with a lot of expectation, but the 27 year old has been unable to make an impact during his time in England.
Last season the Newcastle United player had a spell on loan with Saint Etienne, where he made 35 appearances in all competitions, before returning to St James Park.
There have been reports in France of a potential return to Ligue 1, and competition for Saivet can only be good news for Newcastle United.
