Ajax manager Peter Bosz has confirmed to the Dutch media they are close to signing Bertrand Traore. The Chelsea youngster is expected soon to head to the Dutch side on loan for the season in order to get first team experience.

Voetbal International have reported on comments Bosz made in his press conference ahead of this weekend’s games. The Dutchman was asked about his reunion with Traore after he coached the forward at Vitesse for two seasons.

Bosz said Traore is a player he likes very much, which is also the case with the club. The Ajax boss revealed the deal isn’t quite yet completed, but hopes the deal will be sealed soon.

“We, and I also, like him very much, but I understand it is not totally guaranteed. So it’s not for me to comment on this, but I hope that soon it happens,” said the Ajax coach.

This morning we covered claims from Holland that Chelsea had agreed to loan Traore out to Ajax for the season, and that the youngster would soon be heading to Amsterdam.
