Leicester City star Youri Tielemans is on the radar of top European clubs, including Real Madrid.
That’s according to ElNacional, who say the La Liga side’s sporting leaders are ‘very interested’ in the Foxes’ FA Cup hero. His ability to shine in multiple positions has left Los Blancos impressed.
The Belgium international’s contract expires in 2023 and so far, there has been no progress on the renewal front.
It’s said any potential arrival of the former AS Monaco man could see Casemiro leave Real Madrid. The report further adds Carlo Ancelotti ‘really likes’ the Leicester man and he would swap Tielemans for the Brazilian ‘with his eyes closed’.
Casemiro signed a new contract in August and his current deal runs down in 2025. According to the report, the 29-year-old doesn’t lack offers and has options to make a switch to England.
Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to be in the picture as Mauricio Pochettino would love to have the Real Madrid player in Paris.
ElNacional haven’t taken into account that Casemiro operates as a defensive midfielder, while Brendan Rodgers’ man prefers to play in the centre of the pitch.
For now, as per the report, only Ancelotti has asked for the ‘risky exchange’ involving Casemiro and Tielemans. There is no mention of Real Madrid and/or the South American’s stance on this possible swap deal.
