What looked like a revival since the return of Anthony Martial for Manchester United came crashing down at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday as Bournemouth walked away with the three points.

Joshua King scored the game’s only goal, and in doing so piled on the pressure on his compatriot, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the Old Trafford side sit 10th in the Premier League.

There are still no signs United have any plans to move on from the Norwegian, but that doesn’t stop the paper talk surrounding his future from continuing, with Max Allegri one of the touted candidates to replace him should the Glazers and Ed Woodward decide time for a change has, once again, come.

However, the Italian also now has an opportunity in Germany following Niko Kovac’s dismissal at Bayern Munich, and Fabio Capello, formerly of England national manager fame, has had his say in a chat with Radio Anch’io Sport, relayed by La Repubblica.

He said: “Bayern would bee much easier to win at because of the mentality. The board know who to buy. But given what happened to Ancelotti, I don’t know if an Italian coach is welcome. Maybe there is something wrong with Italian-German relations. England is fascinating, it’s a league that enriches you. Between Bayern and United, I would marry Manchester.”

We’re not sure if you can actually marry a city, but we’re going to guess he is merely telling Allegri to pick the challenge of turning things around at Old Trafford over an easy ride in Bavaria.

Then again, the former Juventus manager doesn’t feel his English is good enough yet to manage in the Premier League.

We wonder how his German is, though?
