The front page of Sport has a story talking about Barcelona’s transfer plan for 2019.

The Catalan club were after Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong this summer and the trio wanted to make a switch to Camp Nou, but their current clubs decided against sanctioning the sales.

It’s claimed that two out of these three midfielders will join the La Liga winners, but there is no mention as to who will miss out on a chance to play for the Blaugrana.

Ernesto Valverde’s men were excited about the prospect of having Pogba as their teammate, but Manchester United decided against his sale and made it clear they will be unwilling to negotiate for their player’s transfer.

The former Juventus man is said to have tried all methods to force a transfer and after failing in his efforts, is now open for a move in 2019, either in January or next summer.

Any approach from Barcelona will depend on the price tag, but Sport believe the groundwork for the future move is already in place, just like they did when they signed Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool earlier this year.
