Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is reportedly back in Portugal after spending several days in Asia to take care of some transfer business.

As stated by A Bola today, the club official should now sort out the unfinished transfer situations at the club, and one of them is Victor Lindelof and Manchester United.

Things have gone quite cold in the past few days, especially after José Mourinho talked down the chance of incomings during the current window. But the newspaper insists it was because the Portuguese club’s president was away.

CapturarNow Vieira’s job would be to convince Manchester United to pay €45m for the defender, even though the Red Devils keep pushing for less.

Benfica have reportedly sorted things out with Vasteras, Lindelof’s old club who they owed money too, and now the path is clear for the transfer to be made.

It’s interesting how A Bola finish their story saying “it lacks the ‘yes’ from the Englishmen on the deal”. This is normally used for the selling club, but as we all know, it’s Manchester United who are being convinced in this case.
