Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga has heaped praise on teammate Victor Lindelof, saying he looks up to his compatriot.
Elanga is enjoying something of a breakthrough year, with current Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick having brought him into the first-team picture back in December.
He’s been a regular since then and more than earned him a place in the team with several impressive performances.
The youngster in undoubtedly a star in the making, at least they think so at Old Trafford, and that’s seen him called up to the Sweden senior team as well.
That also sees him linking up with Manchester United teammate Victor Lindelof, who is the current captain of his nation and the perfect man to mentor Elanga through the pitfalls of international football.
That’s something that certainly seems to be going on, with Elanga revealing his admiration for the centre-back and revealing th advice he’s been giving him throughout this season.
“I look up to Victor as well; he’s a leader and one that I talk to very, very much,” he told TV4, relayed by Fotboll Skanalen.
“Not only in the national team but in United as well. I hang around him and look up to him.
“He gives me good tips, and it’s good to have Victor in the national team and the club team because there are two Swedes in United now, so it’s good. It’s very cool.”
