Manchester United showed interest in Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot before signing Casemiro from Real Madrid last summer.

The Serie A midfielder is back on the Red Devils’ agenda for the next window. On May 18th, Calciomercato reported they have made a new contact with his camp.

This is now backed up by Goal Italia, who provide additional updates on Manchester United’s desire to acquire the 28-year-old.

The report focuses on Juventus players who were set to ‘say goodbye’ to their fans after the last home tie of the season against AC Milan on Sunday. The France international gets a mention as his deal expires in June.

Juve would have preferred to keep him but he has ‘other ambitions’. Manchester United are one of his suitors and they recently ‘tested the ground’ to sign him.

It’s further stated Erik ten Hag’s side have carried out ‘exploratory contacts’ to sign Rabiot, and this could lead to ‘something more substantial soon’.

The former PSG man is managed by his mother, Veronique, who hasn’t heard from the Old Lady in recent times. Therefore, ‘all roads lead’ to a move away from Juventus for the Frenchman.

Having failed to sign Rabiot last summer, Manchester United could be presented a fresh opportunity to sign him again in the next window.
