On September 3rd, AS reported an ‘interesting offer’ from Manchester United has arrived for Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilón, and the proposal is ‘tempting’ for the left-back.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Sevilla after Zinedine Zidane decided to bet on Marcelo and Ferland Mendy.

Sport now claims the Spaniard’s future is ‘still up in the air’ because the Frenchman wants to continue relying on his compatriot and Marcelo for the upcoming season.

The La Liga winners, for their part, are not clear whether to send Reguilón out on loan again or sell him to raise funds in a time of economic difficulty.

United’s interest gets a mention and it’s claimed the Old Trafford club are ‘willing to put €25m or €30m on the table’ for the fullback.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, however, ‘does not seem the most suitable team’ to sign Reguilón because of ‘bad relations’ between the two sides.

There’s no explanation given for this, but it could be due to Real Madrid’s failure to sign David de Gea and Paul Pogba in the past.

Sevilla also maintain an interest, and Sport state Reguilón wouldn’t mind spending another season on loan with the Europa League winners.

In addition to this, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen.

Reguilón is currently on international duty with Spain and will return to Real Madrid next week, which is when we could expect to have more clarity on his future.

Radio Marca spoke to the defender and asked about his future.

He said, “I’m going day by day. If I’m thinking about calls and my future, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy being with the national team. Obviously Real Madrid is my home, but it’s not easy… I have all the factors in mind.”
