Earlier on Thursday, we covered a tweet from Italian journalist Daniele Longo regarding a Manchester United interest in Dejan Kulusevski.

It was explained the Red Devils were still ‘interested’ in the player, but that Juventus, where the Sweden international is currently under contract, weren’t open to any type of sale.

That was pretty much all the information we were given, but Longo has now added a more detailed account of what has transpired behind the scenes, publishing it in audio and written form for Calciomercato.

He explains that ‘various teams have knocked on Juventus’ door to ask information about Kulusevski’, mostly to ‘understand the margins for a transfer, even on a temporary basis’.

It’s said that among these are Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United, because the Norwegian coach ‘adores the qualities’ of the Swede and ‘already tried to bring him to Old Trafford in the past’.

However, Juventus have ‘no intent of sacrificing’ Kulusevski on the market altar, and despite the club wanting to revolutionise their squad, he won’t be affected.

Despite this early rejection, Manchester United ‘will return in the coming weeks’, with talks potentially also ‘extending to Pogba, who remains the black and white club’s forbidden dream’.
