Despite the many rumours about Anthony Martial’s potential move to Sevilla, new reports from the French media come up to slow things down a little.
Le 10 Sport features a story claiming that the winger’s departure from Manchester United is ‘far from being done’.
The outlet recalls the claims made by L’Equipe which said Martial could be loaned to Sevilla until the end of the season, and then points out that the La Liga side do not have the necessary money to make the operation happen.
It’s said Martial makes €9m per season at Manchester United, and with the Red Devils not offering a ‘great deal of support’ when it comes to paying his wages, the Frenchman is ‘going nowhere’.
Le 10 Sport says Martial’s salary is the ‘heart of the last discussions’, and the reason why the transfer hasn’t been done so far.
The Frenchman has 10 appearances for Manchester United this season, with only 359 minutes played. He hasn’t entered the pitch since his agent made public his desire to leave the club.
