Palmeiras’ interest in the signing of Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is back being commented on by the Brazilian media, where journalist Jorge Nicola shares an update on this chase.

On his Youtube channel, the journalist repeats that the Verdão made contact with the midfielder’s entourage and are interested in having him on a one-year loan deal.

Palmeiras, however, are still to know Manchester United’s stance on this situation, as they continue to be linked to other players for the position.

It’s Flamengo who have Pereira on loan until June, but despite their chance to sign him permanently, many people don’t even consider that a possibility anymore. Even Nicola points out he’s ‘on his way out’ of the Rio de Janeiro side this summer.

In recent weeks, it’s been claimed that Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag would like to give Andreas Pereira a chance to prove himself at the club once he returns from the current spell.

Perhaps that’s why the Red Devils are still to decide whether they’d let him leave on a new loan or if they’ll want him at Old Trafford for next season.
