Moussa Dembélé left Celtic for Lyon in 2018 and the striker has scored 23 goals for the French club in the league.

His performances for the Ligue 1 side caught the attention of Premier League clubs as Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal followed the player in the summer.

This is according to Soccer Link, who explain Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas was successful in keeping control over the player during the last window.

However, Aulas is not completely opposed to the 23-year-old’s sale and would sanction the transfer if Lyon register a club record sale in the process.

The Red Devils get mentioned again in the report as it’s claimed the Old Trafford club are closely following the frontman. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are still following the Frenchman ‘very closely’ and ‘want to attract’ him for the transfer.

It’s also stated United would like to sign Dembélé when the transfer window reopens in January.

Whether or not United will be successful in their efforts to sign Dembélé remains to be seen.
