Manchester United and Flamengo are sorting out the final details for the permanent transfer of Andreas Pereira, according to reports from Brazil.
Live on SBT, journalist Venê Casagrande claims the clubs are currently ‘exchanging documents’ to complete the move, and will make it official soon.
Andreas Pereira had been loaned to Flamengo until the summer, but the Rio de Janeiro side decided to anticipate and negotiate the purchase a few months before the end of the spell.
Even though there was a buying option worth €20m, Venê Casagrande claims the move is being done for around €10.5m.
This was a very quick update brought by the journalist, so it’s worth pointing out that according to several reports in the past few days, Manchester United have been demanding 25% of a future move.
Today’s story from Extra highlights Pereira’s wish to stay in Brazil.
As proof of that, the player is taking a big pay cut from the salary he’d receive from the Red Devils until the summer, as he’s now signing a new deal with Flamengo which will fit the Brazilian reality.
