Reports from France continue to say that Paris Saint Germain remain interested in signing Manchester United star Paul Pogba this summer.

A couple of days ago, it had been RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi who claimed that talks are taking place between the Ligue 1 side and the midfielder’s entourage.

Now it’s time for L’Equipe to confirm the news regarding PSG’s chase. They say the club are indeed pursuing the 28-year-old, even though their efforts will depend on their other moves in the market.

The French side have been signing the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum and Gianluigi Donnarumma. And it’s when negotiating with Mino Raiola, who represents the Italian goalkeeper, that they got to speak about Pogba.

On Pogba’s stance, L’Equipe claims to have heard from people of his entourage that he feels it’s time to ‘turn the page’ end PSG ‘would appeal’ to him.

However, the midfielder is currently valued between €50m and €60m and wouldn’t have a small salary. To afford that, the French side must get rid of some players and reduce their payroll. The fact that most of their signings are arriving as free-agents means they shouldn’t have any problems regarding Financial Fair Play this summer.

L’Equipe writes the attraction between PSG and Pogba is ‘mutual’, but the Ligue 1 club must ‘make room’ for him in the squad before they can think of seeking an agreement with Manchester United.
