Despite Manchester United still needing to find a new manager, one of the stories that refuses to go away is that of Paul Pogba’s future.
The French midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and the belief is that he will leave at the end of the season to find himself a new club.
There has been talk of a renewal at Manchester United, but no deal has been signed as of yet, meaning he is free to talk to other clubs, like Paris Saint-Germain.
While Real Madrid were once seen as the favourites to sign the player, the Ligue 1 leaders have overtaken them, with Leonardo keen to bring the former Le Havre starlet to the French capital this summer.
They headline their article by revealing the player is ‘getting closer’ to Paris Saint-Germain, with him now ‘more than ever’ their ‘priority target’.
The reason for that is Leonardo ‘has already met him’, and because of his high wage demands, ‘the competition is not that high’.
It’s pointed out that Pogba is also keen on the move, ‘ready to come to Paris, as are his family’.
‘All the lights are green’ for the transfer to happen, and while Manchester United ‘made him an exceptional offer’ to stay last October, it doesn’t appear like he will sign it.
