Manchester United need to finalise ‘minor details’ before completing their move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

That’s according to Ruhr Nachrichten, who say that the official announcement is now a ‘matter of days’ away.

Sancho has been on the verge of the move to Old Trafford for the last few weeks, with the two clubs reaching an agreement on asking price a fortnight or so ago.

The move was delayed due to his involvement with England at the European Championships, with Manchester United needing to wait until the tournament was completed before they could Sancho in to complete a medical.

That happened at the beginning of the week, and now ‘only minor details’ remain from the transfer being completed.

Dortmund player managerr Sebastien Kehl has confirmed that there are only a few details to be clarified, with ‘formal confirmation’ just around the corner.

Indeed, the Bundesliga side’s search for a replacement is already well underway, and they have an agreement in place for PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen.

He was released by the Dutch side to hold talks with prospective clubs, and now Dortmund have to work out a deal with them to bring Malen to Germany.

The fact they are pursuing him shows Sancho is closing on his exit, though, and should help to allay any fears Manchester United fans might have about a last-minute turnaround in the search for a replacement.
