Ivan Perisic to Manchester United is ‘inevitable’, report Calciomercato.it.
Jose Mourinho has been strongly linked to the Inter Milan star since March, when the Manchester United manager took a trip to Croatia during an international break and nobody, probably correctly, believed he was there for anything other than transfer reasons.
It’s been dragging on for so long that one could be forgiven for thinking Calciomercato are labelling it inevitable in the same way death and taxes (less noise at the back please) are, tired of the situation and wanting someone to put Inter out of their misery.
But no, there’s more to it, sort of. It’s explained that Perisic wants to move to Manchester United, and it’s a chance a footballer simply can’t pass up, especially at the old age of 27.
Therefore, it’s just a quesiton of when. Calciomercato say Inter are ‘just waiting for the right offer to close the deal with Manchester United’, which makes everything sound incredibly simple.
Perisic has agreed personal terms with Manchester United, it’s reiterated, and doesn’t want to miss his chance. He won’t miss it either, according to the Italian website.
Inter Milan need €30m by June 30th to comply with FFP, which helps.
