With a new manager set to be appointed at Manchester United in the summer, a rebuild will likely take place, with some players sold or let go, while incoming signings will be made to make everyone happy.
One of the names linked to bolster the midfield (and maybe attack) has been that of Christopher Nkunku, who has sent tails wagging all around Europe with his creativity and goalscoring ability.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player has been involved in 44 goals this season, scoring 27 goals and assisting another 17 in 40 appearances in all competitions, and it’s easy to see why Manchester United would be interested.
It’s explained that RB Leipzig will ‘need a lot to keep their jewel’ because teams such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and even Manchester City are ‘in the running’ to sign the player.
The belief is that a fee of ‘over €70m’ will be needed to get the German side to agree to a sale, and Paris Saint-Germain could use his signing, since he is a good friend of Kylian Mbappé’s, to keep their star forward this summer.
Either way, Manchester United also have a lot of work to do, because without Champions League football next year, there will be a lot of convincing needed.
