Julen Lopetegui leaving his Spain job earlier than expected and taking over at Real Madrid has been a gift from the gods for Don Balon, and they’ve gone rumour mad for the Spanish club.
It will be no surprise that one of those rumours revolves around Gareth Bale and his take on the manager and what it means for his Real Madrid future.
In what isn’t the most outlandish Dona Balon claim, it’s stated Lopetegui will prefer to play a brand of football with possession and touches, which it isn’t thought to suit Bale’s game.
But it’s not only him, Cristiano Ronaldo is also said to be annoyed at Madrid right now and ‘very angry’ that his words after the Champions League final haven’t led to action.
In a more outlandish and typical Don Balon claim, it’s stated Manchester United ‘rub their hands together’ at the idea of swooping for Ronaldo ‘in the coming weeks’.
