Calciomercato once again claims the Manchester United midfielder’s representative has offered the 31-year-old to AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus.
The Serbia international’s contract expires in 2020 and the Old Trafford club have an option to extend the contract by a further year. However, the report explains he is unlikely to ‘prolong’ his stay beyond this season.
That’s because he’s never felt like a key player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s guidance.
Matić is aware Milan are looking for an experienced midfielder, and it’s stated he believes he can have a central role in their project.
The Italian website explains his profile appeals to Milan, but there are three obstacles for them to sign the player.
Matić earns €7m net in wages at Manchester United and is demanding the same salary from the Rossoneri. Ivan Gazidis is skeptical about paying such wages for a player who will be 32 before the start of the next campaign.
