Manchester United seem to be the latest Premier League side to become interested in signing Hoffenheim left-back David Raum.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg today writes that the Red Devils ‘want’ the player and already have talks in place for the transfer.
The report says the talks are ‘ongoing and good, but still a long way to go’ for the sides to reach an agreement, which would ‘probably’ be between €30m and €35m.
Plettenberg was told this transfer ‘can happen’, even though Manchester United could still face competition from Borussia Dortmund in case the Bundesliga side sell one of their left-backs.
In the past few months, we’ve already seen Raum being linked to the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle United and West Ham United, but this is probably the first time the 24-year-old is involved in a strong rumour with Erik Ten Hag’s side.
Featuring for Hoffenheim last season, Raum stood out with his ability to create chances, and was able to make 13 assists only in the Bundesliga.
