Out of contract at Manchester United in about a month, Marouane Fellaini has been looking around the market to see if anyone is interested in his services.

While a number of clubs have approached him, none have agreed terms with him as of yet, and the reason for that are his demands.

AC Milan are one of these clubs, and there’s been a number of articles in Italy about it over the past month or so, but, for now, the Serie A side have ‘put the brakes’ on a deal because the Manchester United midfielder is asking for around €7m/year post-tax (around £120k/week), as well as a few bonuses.

Since he’s available on a free, Fellaini is in a strong position to ask for a lot seeing as clubs don’t have to pay a transfer fee, and he’s taking full advantage of that.

It’s still very early in the transfer window, and there’s a World Cup slap bang in the middle of it, so we doubt the Belgium international is fretting too much as things stand.

If someone desperately wants him, they’ll pay up.

If no one comes knocking at €7m/year, he can always lower his demands a bit to satisfy interested suitors.
