Juventus have set their sights on Manchester United’s Alex Telles, according to reports from Italy.
Andrea Pirlo used Gianluca Frabotta when Alex Sandro tested positive for Covid-19, and when he was out of action due to injuries this campaign.
Sandro has been the first choice left-back for the Serie A side over the past few years, but his recent performances have been subject to criticism.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who add the Old Lady are studying various profiles to replace the 30-year-old in Juve’s starting lineup.
This is where Telles comes into the picture and he’s an ‘old obsession’ of the Italian club’s management.
Having arrived at Old Trafford from FC Porto last summer, the Brazilian has failed to become the first choice left-back for the Red Devils.
Telles, who holds an Italian passport, is ‘willing to leave’ the Premier League side, given how his debut season has progressed under the orders of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Juventus’ economic difficulties are likely to force them to work out a swap deal and it’s claimed Fabio Paratici’s ‘idea would be to offer’ Adrien Rabiot in exchange for Telles.
The report doesn’t mention whether Rabiot and/or United are interested in the deal.
