Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is ‘very much liked’ by Barcelona, who may move for him in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Sport, who say Rashford could be sold by United this summer and Barcelona, who are old admirers, could look into a deal.
The newspaper states that Manchester United are planning a ‘real squad revolution’ this summer and have promised Erik Ten Hag a clean up of the dressing room and £300m to invest in the squad.
There are set to be ‘many casualties’, and one of them is Rashford, who Sport say is not a part of their plans moving forwards.
He is ‘very much liked’ by Barcelona because of his potential and his versatility, and there have already been contacts in the past about a potential move.
The Catalan side have always followed the forward ‘with great attention’, and so he is on their radar as they analyse the market for potential strikers to add to their squad next season.
At the moment, the most realistic option is Robert Lewandowski, and he is keen on the move, but that’s a big deal to get done, and there are doubts over whether Barcelona can pull it up.
Rashford would be an alternative option, and he ‘would be willing’ to move to the Camp Nou.
Like Lewandowski, though, it’s a ‘complicated economic operation’ for Barcelona to pull off, so they are just analysing the situation for the time being.
