We’ve spent the whole season seeing the Italian press wondering if Diogo Dalot deserves to stay at AC Milan following his loan spell from Manchester United, and it seems the Serie A side are still to take a decision on that matter.

A story from Milan News 24 today claims that the full-back will have a ‘huge chance’ to prove himself in a match against Sassuolo tonight.

With Theo Hernandez out due to injury, Dalot should be in the starting team, and the 90 minutes will be a showcase for Milan to take a decision on his future.

With no official buying option in the deal with Manchester United, the Rossoneri are wondering if they should engage in talks with the Red Devils for the permanent transfer, as any negotiation would need to be started from scratch.

Loaned by Manchester United at the start of the season, Dalot has 27 appearances for Milan so far.

His ability to play on both sides of the pitch is what has been giving him chances on at right and left-back.

The word in the Italian press has been that the decision to buy him in the summer will depend on the price they can get for the transfer, and it’ll be down to those at Manchester United to set that bar.
