Manchester United loanee Joel Pereira should be returning to the club soon, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo this Friday.
The goalkeeper, who was supposed to have a spell at Vitória de Setúbal until the end of the season, should have his deal cut short in the January window.
O Jogo doesn’t really give a reason why Pereira is leaving Setúbal, although a few weeks ago, we covered a story showing he was not the club’s first choice for the position anymore.
The newspaper says that Vitória don’t confirm the departure, but O Jogo insists on the claims saying that tonight Pereira could have his last minutes for the club.
Joel Pereira was sent to Vitória de Setúbal by former Man United manager José Mourinho, who is a fan of the club and wanted the goalkeeper to have his needed minutes there.
But now with Mourinho sacked and Joel sitting on Vitória’s bench, it makes sense for Manchester United to be calling him back.
