HaberTurk have reported Galatasaray’s Bruma was very selfish this weekend against Gaziantepspor, mainly because Manchester United scouts were watching him.
It’s been claimed Manchester United scout Krsto Kilibarda watched Bruma closely ahead of the summer transfer window. The Turkish newspaper have reported Jose Mourinho is a long term admirer of Bruma after claimed attempts to sign his compatriot when he was at Chelsea.
However, Galatasaray were the highest bidder, and Sporting Lisbon accepted their €10m offer, while rejecting Chelsea’s €6m.
Recent reports in the Turkish press suggest Bruma is currently unsettled at Galatasaray and clubs including Manchester United could look to take advantage.
The Portuguese winger recently clashed with his manager Igor Tudor, leading to speculation he could be sold in the summer. Bruma would relish a move to the Premier League, and Leicester City and Southampton have also been linked.
Chelsea were most strongly linked with Bruma in 2013, although the Stamford Bridge
links didn’t seem especially concrete. Mourinho had recently returned to Chelsea, so that fits in with the Turkish claims.
Having departed Chelsea for Manchester United, Mourinho was apparently impressed by Bruma during a pre-season game, and spoke to the player directly. The 22 year old said the chat with Mourinho gave him ‘a great feeling’.
