As French outlet But! writes about the transfer window that Lyon are about to have, they point out their pursuit for a new left-back, since Emerson Palmieri is expected to end his loan from Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 side are set to have two names on the table: Besiktas’ Ridvan Yilmaz and Feyenoord’s Tyrel Malacia.

And even though the first one is the most disputed signing, the competition for the Dutchman isn’t easy either, because according to the report, Manchester United are keen on him.

There are not any details on the Red Devils’ chase for Malacia, with But! only claiming he’s drawing interest from ‘Erik ten Hag’s version’ of the Old Trafford side.

This is likely to be the first time Manchester United are linked to Malacia, and it does make sense that the rumour shows up now, as Erik ten Hag is certainly arriving full of references from the Dutch market.

The left-back is a product of Feyenoord’s youth ranks, and at the age the age of 22, already has 132 appearances for the Eredivisie side.
