Just minutes ago we covered claims from the Dutch media that Everton had made a last minute attempt to sign Donny van de Beek from Manchester United.
With a lack of game time for the Red Devils and no obvious sign that will change in the near future, Everton were said to have made a move to take the Dutchman on loan.
According to the original claims, it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who had blocked the transfer, seemingly wanting to keep the player until at least the winter transfer window.
Now the player’s agent, Guido Albers, has spoken to the Dutch media and said it’s the Old Trafford club holding things up, and preventing a late move for the midfielder.
Speaking to Voetbal International, he said ‘Manchester United are holding everything back. He further went on to say it’s “disappointing that United are not cooperating”.
According to the agent there’s been plenty of interest in Van de Beek this summer, yet little will from Manchester United to do a deal.
