Manchester United have set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to Le10 Sport.

The Ligue 1 winners signed the 30-year-old from Everton last summer and he’s been a regular for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season.

Speaking to Canal Plus in June, the Senegal international made it clear he has no plans to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.

“In the world of football, we are never sure of anything but I am often in contact with Leonardo, the club, and there has never been the question of a departure or a transfer in our discussions,” he said.

“There is enough respect between us to be able to say things if there was something to be said. Everything that is said today is purely fake news.”

Despite expressing his desire to continue at PSG, the report explains Leonardo is looking to offload a few players in order to accommodate new signings.

As per the report, Julian Draxler and Ander Herrera’s sales remain the priority, followed by Leandro Paredes and the former Toffees man.

Manchester United are looking at Gueye, according to the report. It’s claimed the Red Devils have recently gathered information about the player and he can leave PSG, if he receives a ‘good offer’.

With regards to United, Le10 makes it clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side haven’t taken any concrete steps to sign Gueye.
