Juventus welcoming Manchester United in the Champions League has led to endless transfer rumours revolving around the two clubs.

Potential moves between the pair are always a favourite for the Italian and English media and the European competition has provided an excuse for it all to become even more inflated.

Calciomercato are one of the ones leading the charge and they claim Manchester United are ‘desperate’ to get signings done in the January window.

Jose Mourinho is said to have asked for an ‘economic effort’ and two players are named as winter preferences.

The manager wants Alex Sandro signed ‘immediately’, and it’s explained an offer is in the pipeline for the left back.

Sandro rumours won’t go away, but it sometimes feels more through hope than expectation from the Italian sport media. With Luke Shaw doing so well, Mourinho targeting Sandro so strongly doesn’t make a great deal of sense, and it would be highly questionable whether he’d get club backing even if it were true.

The other story being built right now is around Mehdi Benatia, who is said to want regular football and be on the United list.

Then it’s claimed Paulo Dybala and Joao Cancelo are summer targets, and Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and David De Gea could all be the subject of talks for different reasons.
