According to various claims from the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are very close to completing the signing of Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.

The Super Lig side have in recent weeks been linked with the 29-year-old and Haberturk say Fener are looking to seal a deal for the Argentine.

It’s reported Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Manchester United over a season-long loan deal and the player is also keen to play for the Yellow Canaries in order to get games.

Takvim say the Turkish giants have convinced Rojo over a move to Istanbul and he will reportedly earn €3.5m a season with the Yellow Canaries.

However, according to Takvim’s information, both clubs are still in talks over a loan fee. Fenerbahce reportedly don’t want to pay any loan fee whilst Manchester United want €1m from them.

Both newspapers think the deal for Rojo now looks certain and that Fenerbahce are likely to confirm his arrival before the end of the transfer window in Turkey, yet there’s no explanation on fee compromise.

Then we have HaberGlobal journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu claiming the Manchester United defender is asking for €4m/year (around £70k/week) from Fenerbahçe to complete the move.

There’s a lot of different information floating around, but it still seems like this is well and truly on. Just the final details that need sorting out.
