Net Haber claim Manchester United are still following the progress of Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi as they look ahead to next season.
The Premier League side were linked with a move for the 25 year old last month but they ended up signing Odion Ighalo on loan until the end of the season.
However, the Turkish news source says Manchester United are still tracking Muriqi. There are other clubs such as AS Monaco, Burnley, Leicester City and Newcastle United also in the mix for the Kosovo international.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the player following reports they’d made an offer for him.
It’s reported Fener are expecting to generate around €35m from the sale of Muriqi during the next transfer window after purchasing him for just €3m last summer. That seems an inflated price for a player from Turkey, and it’s likely they’d accept less in reality.
There’s been a real effort to hype Muriqi, and all the links could be partly down to that, even if he’s proven himself.
The former Caykur Rizespor player has been an ever-present for Fenerbahce in this campaign, scoring 12 goals in the Turkish Süper Lig.
He’s under contract at the Ulker Stadium until June 2023.
