You might have heard the news recently that Ralf Rangnick was flabbergasted to hear that Manchester United weren’t following Christopher Nkunku.

Whether that’s true or not, only the German manager and those in the club’s scouting department really know, but what appears to have happened is that this is now all rectified.

Looking back over the last few months, Manchester United have been linked a number of times with the France international, as RB Leipzig are preparing for their star to leave either this summer of the next.

The reason for that is the midfielder is having the season of a lifetime, scoring 28 goals and assisting another 18 in 42 appearances in all competitions.

The latest update regarding Manchester United and the 24-year-old comes from Sky Germany, as Florian Plettenburg took to Twitter to relay what he had learned.

He said that Nkunku is on the club’s ‘list’ this summer, as Rangnick is a ‘big fan’ of him, and there have been talks ‘internally’ about the player.

In fact, they are ‘considering the option of bringing him to Manchester United’, but there are ‘still too many other options in the squad’, meaning someone (or more than one) will have to make way if the Leipzig star is to sign.
