Kalidou Koulibaly has undoubtedly been one of the most wanted defenders in the past few years, and it looks like Napoli will keep working hard to make him a very difficult target to get.

Italian website Calcio Mercato brings a story saying the Serie A side have already rejected approaches from Chelsea and Manchester United, and are now preparing themselves for the next summer market.

The club linked the most with Koulibaly, especially recently, is Manchester United.

The report claims that Napoli are ‘ready for war’, just like when they were not accepting Paris Saint Germain’s offer for Allan in the January window.

Now when clubs come for Koulibaly, the Italian side will demand €150m for ‘one of the best defenders in the world’.

It’s not guaranteed that only €150m will be good enough to take Koulibaly from Napoli. But these figures will be used as a reference for the clubs who try to get him.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants Koulibaly to be the most expensive defender in the world, although the focus is not to make money, but to keep him at the club for longer.

Now it’s down to Manchester United and others.
