Earlier today, it was reported in the German media that Kingsley Coman, currently at Bayern Munich, has hired Pini Zahavi as his agent to help sort out his future.
As reported previously, Manchester United are said to be on the case, with the Red Devils supposedly letting the player know they would be willing to match his wage demands.
That is said to be a salary of around €16-17m/year, which Bayern Munich aren’t ready to meet just yet, opening the door for interested parties such as the Old Trafford side and Chelsea.
That the Stamford Bridge based club are now hovering isn’t entirely unsurprising, such is their connection with Zahavi, and Fussball Transfers in Germany state on Monday that they can ‘confirm reports from England that the Red Devils and the Blues are showing interest’.
The pair are reportedly ‘two candidates’ to welcome Coman should he decide to leave Munich for pastures anew, and if the David Alaba, also advised by the agent, are anything to go by, it’s a concrete possibility.
We’ll have to wait and see on this one, but Manchester United have now been joined by Chelsea in their pursuit for the France international.
